Having been a self-taught trader/investor for many years now, in my younger years, I have surely been in situations when the great weather kicked off, but my portfolio and process was not in the shape it should be.

While yes you can wait through the drawdowns and market mania, I have learned time and time again that it is far more enjoyable to take off on a lake swim, a mountain hike or a trail run without having to even think once about what you’re doing in markets.
