More Micron Musings: My Most Read Post of The Year

About one month ago, I wrote about Micron and its surge. I also commented on Sandisk and other memory stocks as I called it “Memory Chip Mania.

Thanks to some awesome writers like Acquirer’s Multiple (and at times Abnormal Returns) it has become my most read post of the year eclipsing 30,000+ views.

But what’s especially fascinating is that in that post, I specifically mentioned that because someone like me was writing about Micron, it must nearing its top.

Why did I write that?

I am not “smart” money by any means nor am I some genius stock picker. So, at that time it struck me as a fascinating time to revisit the simple fact that often the best investors positioned in Micron long before the current boom and chip squeeze started.

But I really did underestimate a simply truth: markets love pricing power and squeezes.

So, today’s update is just to marvel at what’s transpired since I wrote this post, and almost like an atom behaving differently when it is observed, Micron did the complete opposite of someone like myself observing its story:
