OpenAI’s latest sneak peak into what it’s building for voice and voice control is the clearest signal yet of what I think is coming next.
If you have been using voice more often with your AI tools, you have already seen the potential.
My favorite use case so far is: go for a run, something comes to mind, ask AI a question, and it answers it immediately all without ever breaking stride.
Exercise activated + learning something new without requiring any additional energy or movements.
For me, this has been an unlock equivalent to what I think many experienced during the early days of the Internet boom. But in this case, hands free, no device to ear, just headphones in, while running/walking/jogging, and able to learn anything that interests me while coasting across a road, trail or patch of grass.

A few insights from this:
1 – Voice connectivity is the single most important layer going forward for AI.
2 – Storage capacities for data are about to explode at the sheer amount of content, games, decks, drafts, apps, websites that will be made.
3 – Everything’s changed except for the underlying tech that makes this possible… they’re about to boom.
If AI chat bots were the first wave, then GPUs after that, it seems the next wave is for voice and storage. Each component coming together.
